- Their decision period is a maximum of 3 months
- It is important to submit the application before the current permit expires

If you submit the application before the current permit expires, your employee and family members may continue to live and work in the Netherlands as usual during the application process.

💡 Pro-tip: Please note that there may be temporary restrictions on travel within Schengen between the end date of the current permit and the issuance of the new permit. A return visa is available for travel outside Schengen.
