For eight consecutive years, Yili has been Asia’s largest dairy company and ranks among the top 5 global dairy brands. In addition to its presence in Asia, Yili is also established in North America, Oceania, and has been operating in the Netherlands for over a decade.
In 2014, Yili opened its European Research and Development Center at the Wageningen University & Research campus.

How is it to collaborate globally?
Yili is an international company with around 40,000 employees, primarily operating in the Asian market. Its headquarters are based in China. In the beginning, working with Chinese colleagues was an adjustment, but with various cultural training programs and direct communication, we have come a long way.

Why did Yili choose to work with the services of WCFV?
We lacked knowledge and experience in this area, so we sought external support from WCFV. Since we are located in the same office as WCFV, it’s very convenient. Also, having both the IND and the Municipality of Wageningen offices at WCFV is ideal for our needs.

What has WCFV been able to assist you with?
WCFV supports us at every step of the process. The highly skilled migrant coming here is also guided step by step, and that works very well.

Do you have any tips for other organizations looking to hire international employees?
Start early, as some steps can take a long time. For example, it can be challenging to get an appointment at the Dutch embassy abroad on short notice.
